The United States Postal Services (USPS)

And it’s also the only federal agency, pretty much every one in the country gets to interact with those who work there, almost on a daily basis. Yet, we have taken the USPS for granted all these years because for the most part, the agency has been functioning like a well-oiled machine with speed, reliability, and at a low cost for the customer.

From metropolitan cities to remote rural communities, from fancy multi-storey office buildings to that single farm house on an unpaved road, from holding your mails safely while you are on vacation to delivering them those to anonymous PO Boxes, USPS has continuously provided one of the most essential services that the country needs for both individuals and businesses for many years.

The USPS was literally created in the constitution (Article 1, Section 8, Class 7) and has been an essential thread woven through our American fabric. It is also the only federal agency that was created to be self-sufficient.
