When you have a convention where 50% of your keynote speakers’ last name is Trump, then the entire political party, or whatever is left of it, is no longer pretending to be a political party. They are officially declaring that they all are part of the Trump cult.
Welcome to the Trump National Convention 2020, folks!
With GOP having no official platform for their Trump National Convention 2020, I can only imagine what this means and how the official messiah status has actually been accepted by all the cult members.
If Trump wins a second term, it would truly be considered as “The Second Coming”.
In this context, I am reminded of this famous W.B. Yeats poem.
With its stunning, violent imagery and terrifying ritualistic language, “The Second Coming” is perhaps one of the most thematically obscure and difficult to understand poems.
