Mark Zuckerberg to pray at Donald Trump’s Inauguration
The Facebook CEO is a surprise addition to the growing list of celebrities at President Trump’s inauguration
New York, NY
President elect Trump’s transition team confirmed today that Mark Zuckerberg, the 32 year old founder and CEO of Facebook, has agreed to offer a multi-religious prayer, during the Presidential inauguration to be held on January 20, 2017 at Washington DC.
When President elect Donald Trump steps up to the podium, Mark Zuckerberg will join six other illustrious religious leaders, more than any of his predecessors had for their inaugurations (perhaps because Donald Trump will be the oldest president to take office and hence needs all the prayers he can get). These faith leaders will offer prayers, statements and benedictions for the momentous occasion.
Earlier in Dec 2016, through a much talked about Facebook post, Mr. Zuckerberg came out of the closet as an opportunistic religious public figure, much to the praise of many conservatives.
We haven’t been able to get in touch with Mr. Zuckerberg or his PR manager yet, to get his immediate reaction to this announcement. We also don’t have complete details on a specific role, if any, Mr. Zuckerberg will be expected to play as a faith leader during the inauguration other than trying to please multiple religions.
But with this addition, one thing is clear — The list of celebrities attending Mr. Trump’s inauguration is growing out of control, much to the joy of his supporters.
Here is a recent picture of Mr. Zuckerberg we obtained from one of his practise prayer sessions.
