Yesterday was the Tomorrow we were worried about for years

Imagine someone screaming ‘FIRE, FIRE’ and making everyone around him enter a state of panic.

Imagine everyone around him getting scared and they all start screaming ‘FIRE, FIRE’.

Imagine then the fire brigade arrives, investigates, and tells them there is no fire to be seen or smelled anywhere.

Imagine then the man who first screamed replies that since they all are screaming ‘FIRE, FIRE’, and since they all are in a state of panic, ‘THERE MUST BE FIRE SOMEWHERE’ and it’s the fire brigade’s fault that they can’t spot the fire.

Imagine that.

If you can imagine that, then you know this exactly was the American story before the sun rose on Jan 6, 2021 in Washington, D.C.

Terming it as a dark day in our history is an understatement. From how intentionally weak in preparation the Capitol Police was from at least 3 days prior to minutes before the first breach occurred, to how they deliberately refused extra help from other agencies even when they were in the middle of an attack, to how the President’s Chief of Staff, his personal lawyer, his children, and so many GOP Senators and Congressmen continuously kept screaming ‘FIRE…
